Cabbage – Savoy - Heirloom Seeds
Savoy Cabbage is a large drumhead cabbage with sweet, crinkled and tender leaves. This variety is both regal and ancient -- dating to medieval Italy -- and is the ultimate cooking cabbage! The culinary possibilities of the Savoy cabbage are literally endless: soups, salads, casseroles and more. The large, crisp heads can weigh in at 6 to 8 pounds and does not give off the sulfur smell other cabbages do when cooked. Cabbage has a short stem and is best enjoyed late summer. .
